Will be attending less tradeshows as we need time to build inventory. Cards and products have been flying off the shelves both in store and at events. Glad that we are able to receive such overwhelming support from everyone *making this uncle tear up*
I am still learning about the trade as it is a different monster compared to MTG. There are cards I have never even seen before and the knowledge needed is incredible.
I started my journey of collecting 4 years ago as friends introduced me to the wonderful (or cursed) world of japanese promo Pikachu which got me hooked to these cute little bastards. Wonderful because they were much cheaper back then compared to now but cursed as there are a heck ton of promos to collect. End of the day I collected what I could and not chase every card.
I am not too bothered with condition and price fluctuation. As long as I think it is of fair value at that point in time, I am willing to pay for lesser condition. Even if it drops or increase in value, no one can predict the future, end of day I'm having fun going around with my friends.
For me, try not to be too fixated on absolute value. Enjoy the journey of collecting.
